Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Written to be read rather than skimmed past.
Who we are
Joydo is a child-development and experiential-learning centre at H-19, Second Floor, Kensington Park-1, Sector 133, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201304.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”), Joydo is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this notice. That means we decide what is collected and why, and we are answerable for it.
You can reach us at joydo.officials@gmail.com or on +91 98106 37503.
The short version
If you read nothing else:
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind.
- The only information the website collects is what you type into the enquiry form and choose to send us.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
- We never use a child’s information for advertising or behavioural tracking. The DPDP Act forbids it and so do we.
What this website collects
When you submit the enquiry form, we receive and store exactly these items:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your name | So we know who we are replying to |
| Your mobile number | To contact you about your enquiry |
| Your child’s age group | To tell you whether Joydo suits them |
| Your preferred day to visit | To arrange the visit |
| Your consent, and the date and time you gave it | So we can show consent was actually obtained, as the DPDP Act requires |
| Which page you submitted the form from | To understand which parts of the site are useful |
We do not ask for your child’s name, school, photograph or any health information through this website.
Our web server keeps standard technical logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These are not linked to enquiries and are not used to build any profile of you.
Cookies and third parties
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics service.
There is one third party involved in serving the site. The two typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. This is a genuine disclosure of personal data to a third party and we would rather it did not happen; we intend to serve the fonts from our own server instead, which removes it entirely.
The site links to our Facebook and Instagram profiles, but those are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from either network unless you click through.
If we ever add a map embed or an analytics tool, this notice will be updated before it goes live.
Information about children
Everyone under 18 is a child under the DPDP Act, and their personal data carries extra protection.
- We collect a child’s personal data only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
- We do not carry out tracking or behavioural monitoring of children.
- We do not direct advertising at children.
- We do not process a child’s data in any way likely to cause a detrimental effect on their wellbeing.
The enquiry form is intended to be completed by a parent or guardian, not by a child.
Our separate Data Protection Policy sets out how this works in practice at the centre.
Why we use your information
We use what you give us to respond to your enquiry, arrange and confirm a visit, and — if your child joins Joydo — to run sessions safely and keep you informed about how they are getting on.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not profile you.
Consent, and taking it back
We rely on your consent, given when you tick the box on the enquiry form. That consent is recorded with a timestamp.
You can withdraw it at any time by emailing joydo.officials@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. When you withdraw, we stop using your data and delete it unless we are required by law to keep it.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
We share it only where it is necessary to run the centre — for example with the provider that delivers our email — or where the law requires us to.
To be confirmed by Joydo. Joydo to confirm the full list of service providers that handle personal data (email provider, any accounting or messaging tools) so they can be named here.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as they are useful. An enquiry that does not lead to a visit is deleted once it is clearly stale.
Records for children who attend Joydo are kept while they attend and for a limited period afterwards, then deleted.
To be confirmed by Joydo. Joydo to set the exact retention periods — how many months an unconverted enquiry is kept, and how long attendance records are retained after a child leaves. These should be stated here as specific periods rather than described loosely.
How we protect it
The website is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiries are stored in the website’s database on a server hosted in India, and access to it requires an individual administrator account.
The enquiry form is rate-limited and protected against automated abuse.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- ask what personal data of yours we hold and how we use it;
- have inaccurate data corrected, completed or updated;
- have your data erased where we no longer need it;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated;
- raise a grievance with us and have it addressed.
Email joydo.officials@gmail.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where the change is significant, we will tell parents directly rather than relying on you noticing.
